Welcome to the Digital World in Teaching

The exchange comprises five parts:
1. Induction and team building - Participants received a presentation by the host school on the school, education system, city and country, attend ice-breaking activities, and were given a tour of the school and the city.
2. Topic-related activities - The host school gave a seminar/workshop for teachers about using ICT tools for creating digital storytelling (DS) outputs, alternative to PowerPoint (e.g. Picktochart), wevideo.com, Video Maker, Video cropping and promotion a balanced approach to theory and practice. The main tool introduced and choosen was Adobe Première. Experienced country (Belgium) helped.
3. The host school (coordinator + ICT teacher) and 1 Belgian teacher (ICT expert) organised a course for teachers on the DS method - the practice of using computer-based tools to create stories - as well as web 2.0 tools training. DS allows students to create and share their stories outside of the traditional written form, creativity and cultural experiences. Digital stories contain mixtures of images, text, recorded audio narration, video clips and/or music. The trend is to engage students in collaborative digital story making/telling activities that stimulate them to become digital storytellers, helping them acquire multilateral skills.
The participants learned how to integrate DS tools into their teaching: they received an introduction to the DS approach, and hands-on experience with practical examples and case studies (pre-existing lesson plans) and tools commonly used to help students create digital stories in the classroom. In their everyday activities, the participants will be able to create lesson plans incorporating standalone tools and web applications as well as encouraging their students to become digital story creators.
The host country organised the course location. Teachers shared their experiences with other participants and developed their communication and language skills.
4. The coordinator discussed possible changes to the mobility timetables and different responsibilities with the partners. A new project schedule was agreed upon.
5. Feedback and evaluation:
-teachers completed feedback forms about the workshop contents and the exchange;
-participant teachers answered questionnaires about the host country;
-attendance certificates were given and Europass mobility documents were completed and signed.

In the end of the project, the participant teachers were able to use digital storytelling technique and ICT tools in their learning environment effectively. Along with this, they were able to make the learning process of the students more enjoyable and easier. They had the opportunity to catch up with the innovations of modern educational tools. They learnt the steps of preparing a digital story technique at the end of the project. They shared their knowledge with their colleagues in their schools. They taught these techniques to their students. As the project consist of activities involving digital story telling technique or ICT tools, students had no difficulty in preparing these activities. The teachers could benefit in this training in terms of developing themselves in communicating with the teachers from other countries. The teacher learned about the education systems of other countries. They had the chance to share their experiences with their colleagues. As they used English in this training, they also developed their language skills. Social skills of the staff were also expected to develop during this project. As the staff interacted with each other in this training, there were also cultural exchange among them. We think that this training was useful for the staff in many aspects.

After the seminar of adobe premier pro, our teachers prepared their videos using the techniques they learnt Here are the links.
